Sounds From The Other City Festival comes to Salford's Maxwell Hall
The University of Salford announces partnership with the Festival.
Sounds From The Other City announces the first wave of acts some of who will performing at the University of Salford’s iconic Maxwell Hall and Peel Hall.
Beak>, Gruff Rhys, and PlanningtoRock are just some of the top acts who will be gracing the stage at Maxwell Hall as part of the 2020 festival.
BBC Radio 3's Unclassified programme sees the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra performing with Hatis Noit and cellist Abel Selaocoe at Peel Hall.
Sian Roberts from Sounds From The Other City said: "The BBC Philharmonic performance is really an evolution of the Radio 3 Red Brick Sessions which started in Peel Hall about 4 years ago, whilst SFTOC has really had an ambition to bring a big stage to Maxwell Hall for a number of years."
The festival will take place around locations across Chapel Street in local pubs, churches, and community corners. 2020 is the very first year festival-goers will get the chance to see acts perform on campus at Maxwell Hall and Peel Hall.
BA (Hons) Graphic Design students, Lauren Knowles and Lucy Jackson, have created the digital artwork for the festival which can be see via the festival's Instagram page.
Self Esteem, Mcr Camarata performing Terry, Andy Votel (DJ) will also be performing at Maxwell Hall with the opening slot still to be confirmed.
