Professor and Reader promotions for over 40 Salford academics

Categories: Schools

The University of Salford is delighted to announce that over 40 academics have been promoted to Professor or Reader.

At Salford, we remain firmly committed to supporting the career development of all our colleagues.

The process for academic promotion to Professor and Reader is rigorous but provides an opportunity to recognise and reward outstanding contributions by our academic colleagues and the successful candidates have all demonstrated exceptional leadership within their roles.

In our ongoing commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), we are pleased to have received applications from a diverse number of colleagues across the institution.

We are also delighted that so many of those promoted are being recognised for the work they are doing to forge industry connections both locally, nationally and internationally.

Vice Chancellor Professor Helen Marshall said “It’s been three years since our last round of promotions and the success of our academics during the pandemic period is demonstrated in the significant number of colleagues who have achieved these very well-deserved promotions. My congratulations go to each and every one of you.

“My thanks also go to the team of colleagues who have supported this process – from those who ran workshops at the beginning of the year, to those who work behind the scenes to ensure this all goes smoothly.”
