Physics Academic publishes second book

Categories: School of Science, Engineering and Environment

Dr John Proctor a Physics lecturer at The University of Salford has had his second book published with his latest covering the understanding of liquids and supercritical fluids.

The book titled, ‘The Liquid and Supercritical Fluid States of Matter’  is available at Amazon and is an instrumental read for students and researchers seeking a better scientific understanding of liquids and supercritical fluids, as well as studying their applications in industry.

The text provides  a comprehensive survey of the latest experiments in this fascinating area of research in addition to exploring recent advances in planetary science and industrial applications of supercritical fluids.

Dr Proctor said: “This is my second book and details recent experimental and theoretical progress in our understanding of liquids and supercritical fluids working towards the goal of predicting their properties from first principles.

“The book covers recent advances in the field made in my lab at the University of Salford and by other researchers worldwide.  It also includes a chapter on the industrial applications of supercritical fluids, and a chapter written by a planetary scientist on the implications for our understanding of planetary interiors.”
