IGNITION Hackathon to take place at the University of Salford
The University of Salford is part of the ground-breaking IGNITION project, a £4 million EU-funded initiative that brings together 12 organisations in the Greater Manchester area with the goal of exploring green infrastructure solutions to tackle the climate emergency.
To mark the COP26 summit, the IGNITION team are hosting a hackathon at the University of Salford’s IGNITION Nature based solution (NBS) Living Lab located on its main campus.
The hackathon is open to ALL students and will bring together like-minded young people to have a globally relevant conversation on how to tackle the climate emergency. The event will take place on Thursday November 4th between 10:30 and 3pm. Groups to be a team of 3 to 6 people.
The day will have talks, workshops and a tour of the Living Lab finishing off with an opportunity to pitch your ‘green solution’ to a panel of experts. Ideas from the event will be exhibited at a special show at the RHS Bridgewater in 2022.
