benefits/positives to student publishing

Student journals offer a valuable early experience of academic publishing. Publishing their work in a journal provides students with an opportunity to develop their writing and research skills, and supports future career opportunities.

It gives an insight into open access publishing and the workflows involved in managing a journal.  This includes the peer review process, the use of DOIs and creative commons licences.
