9. Chemistry Tower in winter

The photo shows the 12 storey Chemistry Tower looming large between the Peel Building and the Salford Museum and Art Gallery. The Chemistry Tower was built in 1966 and was so close to the Peel Building — about 10 metres' separation — that its fire certificate was granted on the understanding that Peel Building was to be demolished!
