2. Clifford Whitworth Library viewed from outside the Chapman Building

The image below was taken in 1971 and shows a newly built Library building. Before this the library was housed in the Maxwell Building. Extensions, in the form of an entrance and the Lady Hale Building, have since been made to the left and right of the building. The grassy area is now paved and New Adelphi fills much of the surrounding area.
