Professor Katy Mason, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the School of Social Science, Business, and Law
Professor Katy Mason is Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the School of Social Science, Business, and Law at the University of Salford. Before joining Salford, she served as the Associate Dean of Research at Lancaster University Management School.
At Salford, Katy is also a Professor of Markets and Management at the University of Salford, researching how actors lead and manage to make moral markets. At present, she is President and a Fellow of the British Academy of Management, a Fellow of Academy of Social Science and a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute.
Katy currently sits on the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management General Assembly and is an active mentor for early career scholars. She is championing social justice through the development of inclusive pedagogies and decolonising the curriculum to support the development of an “everyone economy” that is fairer, more inclusive, and more sustainable. Katy’s research has been published in the British Journal of Management, Journal Management Studies, Organization Studies, and Academy of Management Learning and Education and Industrial Marketing Management.
