Concordat for the Environmental Sustainability of Research and Innovation Practice (R&I)
Letter of commitment to the priorities of the Concordat for the Environmental Sustainability of Research and Innovation Practice.
I, Professor Nic Beech on behalf of the University of Salford, confirm our commitment to the priority areas outlined in the Concordat for the Environmental Sustainability of Research and Innovation Practice.
University of Salford fully supports the priority areas outlined in Concordat. We will deliver against all the priorities in practice and recognise our responsibilities as a signatory, as set out in the Concordat.
Our University Strategy is based on collaboration which will enable us to do things differently, innovate, push boundaries, and ultimately enrich the lives of those around us. Our research revolves around four themes: Building prosperity and equity; developing creativity and innovation; enabling healthier living; and improving sustainability. By strategically aligning our research endeavours and practice with these themes, we are dedicated to shaping a more prosperous world where productivity thrives, communities flourish creatively and resiliently, environments are sustainable, and living healthily is a shared aspiration.
By signing this concordat, we recognise the need to change how we conduct research and innovation as well as promote wider solutions. We also agree to take shared action now and into the future to reduce and eliminate our own environmental impacts and emissions and achieve the transition to sustainable practices.
