Data Science is a rapidly expanding interdisciplinary field that brings together statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and data analysis to uncover insights and solve complex problems. You'll apply these techniques to real-world challenges – from developing AI tools that support medical diagnosis to building expertise in data analysis and visualisation that helps shape informed business decisions.
Some of our data science Clearing courses also offer work placement or study abroad opportunities. This means you’ll enter the world of work with in-depth knowledge of the industry and its technology – backed by invaluable experience you can build on.
Whichever data science Clearing course you choose, you’ll work with large and often complex datasets to train and apply machine learning models to extract patterns, generate predictions, and inform decision-making. DipHE Data Science
Data is transforming every industry – and our two-year DipHE in Data Science gives you the skills to be part of that change. You’ll learn how to analyse real-world data using tools like Python and SQL, and explore key areas such as machine learning, AI, and statistical analysis.
This hands-on course is built around practical workshops, group projects, and industry-focused learning, giving you the experience employers are looking for. It’s also recognised as a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ), meaning it meets industry-approved standards and can lead straight into a data-driven career or further study, if that’s your next step.
If you choose our two-year DipHE Data Science in Clearing and later want to complete a full BSc degree, you can top up your qualification with an extra year.
CertHE Data Analytics
Our CertHE Data Analytics Clearing course will introduce you to the fundamentals of data science and data analysis. In this one-year course, you’ll gain practical experience working with industry-standard tools, systems, and programming languages from day one.
Through problem-based learning, practical computer-based workshops, and group activities, you’ll develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in this fast-moving industry.
If, after completing a CertHE Data Analytics course, you wish to continue your studies, you can progress onto the DipHE Data Science and full BSc degree.
BSc (Hons) Business Data Analytics
Business data analytics in Clearing equips you with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to succeed in a rapidly expanding field.
On our BSc (Hons) Business Data Analytics course, you’ll gain expertise in data analysis and visualisation to shape effective business requirements, while building confidence through practical project experience. Developed with major employers, this course emphasises real-world learning through simulated and live projects, so you can apply theory directly to practice.
BSc (Hons) Business Data Analytics with Placement Year
Learn technical skills, industry insight and hands‑on experience to build expertise in data analysis, visualisation, and business process improvement.
With our BSc (Hons) Business Data Analytics with Placement, you'll complete a paid work placement or study abroad between your second and third years. Spend a year applying your skills to real projects to enter the world of work with an in-depth knowledge of the industry and key business concepts.
BSc (Hons) Business Data Analytics with Foundation Year
Study the fundamental data analytics principles that underpin a career in business with our BSc (Hons) Business Data Analytics with Foundation Year.
On this data analytics Clearing course, you’ll gain a base level knowledge of business and management before embarking onto the full degree. Over four years, you’ll build your own personal portfolio to enhance your CV and demonstrate your knowledge to future employers.
