Clearing Visit Day
Now that you've received a clearing offer, we'd love to welcome you on to campus for our Clearing Visit Day on Saturday 15 August from 9:30-15:00.
This is your chance to chat with some of our academic staff, explore our campus and accommodation sites and meet current students to get a real feel for what it's like studying at Salford.
What will happen at the Clearing Visit Day?
If you haven't yet had the chance to visit the University, or maybe you want to take another look, our Clearing Visit Day is the perfect opportunity to explore campus and get your questions answered before starting your course in September.
The day will run from 9:30-15:00 and you will have the opportunity to attend a range of presentations, tours and drop-ins, including:
- Chatting with some of our academic team (available from 10:00-12:00)
- Hearing from current students about their experience of studying at Salford
- Attending a student finance talk to help you understand your next steps
- Finding out what happens next now that you've received a Clearing offer
- Speaking to our professional service teams, such as our askUS student support team, Students' Union and our on campus GP's
- Taking a tour of our campus, accommodation and library facilities

How to find us
The event is hosted in the SEE Building on our Peel Park campus. If you're thinking of driving, the nearest car park is the Lowry and Delaney accommodation car parks (M5 4NJ). We also have parking at our Irwell Place car park (M5 4WT), which is just a 10 minute walk away.
Parking will be free at University car parks on the day of the event.
Where possible, we encourage you to use public transport options when visiting us on the day of the event. We are easily accessible by train and bus, with Salford Crescent train station located directly on the campus.

Campus tours
If you are unable to attend on the day but still want to take a look around campus, our friendly student ambassadors are running campus tours throughout the summer.
Alternatively, you can take a virtual campus tour anytime so you can start to feel at home before you even arrive!

Who can attend the Clearing Visit Day?
Anyone who has received a clearing offer for 2026 entry can attend the Clearing Visit Day.
Can I bring family and friends?
Of course! Choosing a university is a big decision, so we’d absolutely encourage anyone who is supporting you to get involved and join you.
Can I speak with my course tutor?
We will have representatives from all subject areas who can speak generally about our courses but you may not be able to speak with your specific course tutor.
Do you have support for students with a disability?
You can let us know about your access requirements when you book onto our Visit Day. We’ll then work with you to do everything we can to support you. The askUS student support team will also be available throughout the day to discuss the support available to you throughout your time studying at Salford.
