Cup pong game terms and conditions

Eligibility

• The Cup Pong game is open to current students and staff of the University of Salford only.
• Participants may be asked to provide proof of their University of Salford affiliation, such as a valid student or staff ID card or university email address.

How to participate

• Participants can take part in the Cup Pong game at designated Eat and Drink on Campus promotional events.
• Participants must stand at the designated throwing line and attempt to land a ping pong ball into one of the reusable coffee cups positioned on the table.
• Where venue capacity and queue lengths allow, participants may be given multiple attempts at the discretion of event staff.
• A participant wins the voucher contained within any cup their ball successfully lands in.
• Following each winning turn, a Student Ambassador will place another voucher into the emptied cup at random.
• The decision of the Student Ambassadors and event staff regarding gameplay and prize allocation is final.

Participation limits

• Participants may take part once per day unless otherwise authorised by event staff.
• The Promoter reserves the right to refuse repeat participation where it reasonably believes this condition has not been met.

Prizes

• All participants will receive a reusable coffee cup for taking part, while stocks last.
• Participants who successfully land a ping pong ball into a cup will receive the voucher contained within that cup.
• Available vouchers may include:

1. £5 credit to use at Maxwell and Allerton restaurants, cafés or convenience store
2. 25% off a main meal at Maxwell and Allerton restaurants
3. 50% off a medium hot drink at any Eat and Drink on Campus café
4. Free drink with a main meal at Maxwell and Allerton restaurants
5. Free medium Americano or medium tea with a breakfast item
6. Free pastry with the purchase of a medium or large hot drink
7. Free upgrade to a premium meal deal

• Vouchers are subject to availability, and the University reserves the right to substitute any voucher offer with an alternative of equal or greater value.

Stock availability

• Reusable coffee cups are available while stocks last and are limited to approximately two boxes per day.
• If daily coffee cup stock is exhausted before 12:00, participants may instead receive a tote bag (subject to availability) and/or one voucher for taking part, regardless of whether they successfully land the ball in a cup, to ensure no participant leaves empty-handed.
• The University reserves the right to substitute promotional items where necessary.

Voucher redemption

• All vouchers are valid only at Eat and Drink on Campus outlets and cannot be redeemed at Students' Union outlets.
• Full list of Eat and Drink on Campus locations
• Voucher-specific terms, conditions and expiry dates will be stated on the individual voucher.
• Vouchers are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any alternative.
• Only original vouchers will be accepted.

Promotion period

• The Cup Pong game will operate during advertised promotional periods and while stocks last.
• The University of Salford reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the promotion at any time without prior notice.

Photography and marketing

• Photography and video content may be captured during promotional events.
• Participants may be invited to take part in photography or filming for promotional and marketing purposes. Participation in such activities is entirely voluntary.

Other terms

• This promotion is operated by the University of Salford ("the Promoter").
• The Promoter reserves the right to refuse participation where it reasonably believes a participant is ineligible or has acted contrary to these terms and conditions.
• The Promoter's decision is final in all matters relating to the promotion.
• Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to this, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or expense arising from participation in the promotion.
• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• Any disputes arising in connection with this promotion shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
