What's On During Postgraduate Discovery Month?

We’ve planned a variety of events and sessions tailored to master’s (MA, MSc, PgDip/Cert) and doctoral (PhD, MSc by Research, MPhil) level study. Whether you’re looking to visit our campus or join us virtually, there’s something for everyone.

Postgraduate Open Day

For master's level study

Interested in master's study? Come along to our Postgraduate Open Day on Wednesday 25 June, from 13:00 to 18:00. Enjoy informative talks, campus tours, academic sessions, and more. It’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in university life and learn how Salford can help you achieve your goals. 

SPARC: Salford Postgraduate Annual Research Conference

For doctoral level study

If you’re interested in doctoral study, why not come along to SPARC? Taking part will enable you to chat to your potential supervisors and exchange ideas with current students. This event will take place on Wednesday 25 June and Thursday 26 June.

Campus tours

For masters and doctoral level study

Experience the University of Salford in person with a student-led campus tour. These guided walking tours take place on 4 June and 18 June at our Peel Park, Frederick Road, or MediaCity campuses (depending on your course of interest). Reserve your spot to explore our facilities and see where your studies could take you.

Online information sessions

For masters level study

Can’t make it to campus? No problem! From 2 to 27 June, our online sessions offer a range of recorded and live events designed to cover every aspect of postgraduate study.

We're offering sessions with general advice about postgraduate study, including:

  • The student application process (including CAS and visas)
  • Navigating fees and funding options
  • Academic and student life at Salford

For masters level study

We’re also hosting subject-specific sessions giving you the opportunity to speak to our tutors across our schools, so you can delve deeper into your area of interest. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to ask questions, explore course content, and discover how our programmes can help you achieve your goals.
