Salford Business School announces ‘guaranteed offer’ scheme

Categories: Salford Business School

Covid 19 has heaped even more pressure than usual on A-a-level and B-Tec students this year. Disruption caused by the pandemic and various lockdowns and missed lessons mean many learners are playing catch up with their studies.

To help alleviate some of that pressure, the University of Salford Business School is delighted to announce two new measures, available to all applicants for the 2021 academic year.

All those applying to start an undergraduate programme within Salford Business School next year will have a guaranteed offer of a place as long as they meet the required tariff.

At the same time, the University will be hosting revision and study sessions to help ensure that students meet the tariff they need. Providing a glimpse of the type of education that they will benefit from in Salford Business School, these sessions will also help to prepare students for the sometimes challenging transition to university life.

Dean of Salford Business School, Dr Janice Allan said: “This has been a year like no other for those currently in sixth form or college. Applying for University is a daunting process at the best of times, as applicants worry about receiving an offer.  We believe in this year’s students who have demonstrated extraordinary resilience and want to help take away some of the anxieties that they face.

“We want students to achieve the grades that we know they are capable of. To that end, we’ll be working with our feeder schools and colleges to provide revision sessions for those studying subjects relating to business and law to ensure that students are well prepared for their assessments and exams, whatever form they take. We know that schools and colleges are working hard to make up any work that has been missed due to lock down and we are keen to support them in this.”

The guaranteed offer scheme is open to all students that apply to subjects within Salford Business School and applications can be made via UCAS until January 15th 2021.
