Recent incident on campus

Categories: University Campus

We are aware of rumours and videos circulating on social media channels about the University of Salford. There was an incident on our campus last week and the minor involved (a child, under 16 years of age) was arrested at the Campus Living Villages (CLV) accommodation.

The child involved was part of a third party summer school on site and was not a University of Salford student. CLV is privately owned accommodation and during the summer months when the student rooms are vacant, the rooms are rented to privately run summer schools that are independent to the University of Salford.

Regarding this specific incident, the person involved was arrested and has been returned home.

To address the rumours that the University of Salford is housing immigrants, we can confirm that we are not housing immigrants on campus.
