First Centre for Doctoral Training conference a huge success

Categories: School of Health and Society

The first conference organised by our EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Prosthetics and Orthotics (CDT) students took place in December.

Entitled “The Future of Prosthetics and Orthotics”, the event featured a host of speakers including the ISPO President Claude Tardif, Professor Cathy Holloway from UCL and an inspiring keynote from the climber Mark Inglis.

Over 137 people registered for the online conference, with the majority being undergraduate and postgraduate students and clinicians. Attendees came from countries across the world including Ghana, Japan, Australia, America, and Pakistan.

There were over fifteen abstracts submitted which included several videos. The CDT student society has its own YouTube channel where these abstracts and the recordings of all the presentations can be viewed.

This is the first in a number of activities and events that the student society will put on over the next few years and we invite you to take part if you can.
