Here at the University of Salford, we believe fieldwork is imperative to developing your knowledge. We’ve aligned trips with specialist modules, so you can gain real-world experience. Typical destinations include Sheffield, Liverpool, and the Peak District. The cost of your field trips is covered by your tuition fees, so all geography students can enjoy them.

You also have the option to take an industrial placement between years two and three. You will be responsible for securing your own placement, but your tutors are on hand to help. By completing a placement year, you can add ‘with professional experience’ to your degree award.
