The full BSc (Hons) Biochemistry degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology. This accreditation means you’ll develop a solid academic foundation in biological knowledge, ready for future employment. 

This biochemistry Clearing course focuses on providing you with cutting-edge scientific knowledge and techniques. You’ll understand how organisms work at the molecular level in the fields of agriculture, medicine, chemical, and health-related industries. 

MSci Biochemistry

Biochemistry is the foundation for understanding all biological processes. The knowledge and methods developed by biochemists are applied to all fields of medicine and agriculture, as well as many chemical and health related industries.  

This integrated MSci (Hons) Biochemistry course is ideal if you are interested in a career in biotechnology, biopharmaceuticals, food, or brewing industries, as well as in clinical or other biomedical areas, like forensic science and analytical biochemistry. Our graduates are employed across the bioscience sector by companies such as AstraZeneca and Cancer Research UK Manchester, and many also progress with further study towards a doctorate degree (PhD).

BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science

Our BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science degree in Clearing is designed to ensure you can join the next generation of scientists applying new knowledge to create new treatments and interventions.

On this pharmaceutical science course, you’ll have the option to take an industry placement between years two and three. Recent pharmaceutical science students have been offered placements at Pfizer in Kent, the Transplant Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital, and the Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute.

BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science with Foundation Year

Our BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science with Foundation Year is recommended if you want to develop your career in biosciences but have a non-scientific background, or you don’t meet the entry requirements for direct entry to an honours degree. 

The full BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology. Once you have successfully completed your foundation year and progress onto the full degree, you will build your academic knowledge and skills to join the next generation of scientists who design drugs that improve quality of life and can tackle pandemics and diseases.

MSci Pharmaceutical Science
