Alternate course offers

University of Salford student

If you don’t quite meet the requirements for your chosen course, you may still receive an alternative course offer. Find out how alternative offers work and what they could mean for your study options at the University of Salford.

We understand that it can be disappointing if we are unable to offer you a place on the course you applied for.

In some cases, we may be able to offer you a place on a different course instead. This may happen when we first consider your application or after we receive your final results.

Where possible, we may offer you:

  • a similar course
  • an associated foundation course

Your offer will explain which course we are offering and any conditions you need to meet.

This page is a summary of our admissions process, including how we assess applications and make offers. It does not replace the University's Admissions Policy, which remains the authoritative source of information.
