About UCAS tariff points
What are UCAS tariff points?
UCAS Tariff points convert your qualifications and grades into a single numerical score. Most, but not all, qualifications are assigned a tariff value, which depends on both the type of qualification and the grade you achieved. Universities use these points to help determine if you meet the entry requirements for their courses.
How are UCAS tariff points used?
At the University of Salford, we use UCAS Tariff points as part of our course entry requirements. However, we may also accept qualifications that do not have Tariff points, so please check the specific entry requirements for your chosen course carefully.
I can't find my qualification on the UCAS points calculator, does this mean it's not accepted?
Don't worry if you can't see your qualification on our list, that doesn't necessarily mean we don't accept it. If you need to check with us, please give us a call on +44 (0)300 555 5030.
