Recruitment Executive - Unitemps

Full job description

Unitemps are looking for an enthusiastic professional who has great attention to detail and a solid administrative skill set. You do not need to have a recruitment industry background, but you must have an impressive portfolio of skills gained in customer service and administration.

Unitemps is a unique Recruitment Agency, the difference being that all of the profits that we make are re-invested back into the University, for the good of all stakeholders in the community that encompasses students, academic staff, local professionals, and employers in the surrounding areas of Salford, Manchester and the North West.

As you would expect, we operate as a professional Recruitment Agency business, servicing the whole of the local area. However, we have one major difference in that our focus is on supporting students and candidates from within our vicinity and beyond. We are committed to helping students access work opportunities, aiding their finances and future employability, and setting them on the right track for a career path that will extend far beyond their university experience.

Our staff enjoy a great work/life balance, and a supportive, nurturing environment with personal and career development opportunity on offer. No two days are the same at Unitemps, and our recruiters manage all aspects of the recruitment process including business development, account management, and the full 360 degree recruitment process. The Unitemps employment base covers not only the whole of the university, but also includes companies within the North West area. Therefore, the variety of people that you will be dealing with ranges from academics and students, to local professional candidates and employers across all sectors.

If excellent customer service and relationship building is of paramount importance to you, and you would relish putting your recruitment experience to good use in an environment where emphasis is placed on people over profits, then we would be very keen to hear from you. Unitemps Salford has big growth plans, and the successful candidate will be an integral part of that as we grow by looking after a varied portfolio of candidates and clients.

Fantastic Location

The Unitemps office is ideally placed on Peel Park campus at the very centre of where it is all happening. It is housed in the same building as the Student Union Bar, and is opposite the Gym and Swimming Pool, this is somewhere where a work/life balance is easily achieved. There is an emphasis placed on health and well-being, and all staff have a membership to Simply Health where a range of funded health benefits is included.

There is also the main library just a few steps away from the building. All staff are members of the library, with access to all of its resources and advice from professional library staff.

Essential Skills

  • An in-depth knowledge of all of the Microsoft Office software is a must, including a sound knowledge of Word and Excel. Unitemps has bespoke software to maximise the recruitment process, and full training and support will be provided on this.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats are essential.
  • Effective time management skills are crucial, to manage peak periods throughout the academic calendar.
  • Excellent attention to detail in the transposing of information onto systems is of paramount importance to ensure accuracy and speed of working.
  • Knowledge of developing social media channels would also be of benefit, as we focus on setting up that area of the business.
  • A willingness to network and to promote the services of Unitemps to all of the internal and external customer base is essential.
  • Effective problem solving skills to enhance projects with a variety of scenarios and outcomes, in a range of settings.
