Biography
Dr. Ali is a lecturer of Aircraft Propulsion and Gas Turbine Engines at University of Salford. Ali completed his bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Engineering Academy Tajoura, Libya in 2003. He gained a first-class MSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Military Technical College- Egypt in 2011. Ali also holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham in 2016. His thesis title was Design optimization of Small Axial Gas Turbine for Power Systems. Ali also Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Areas of Research
Turbomachinery Design Optimization, Turbine Blade Cooling, Aircraft Propulsion, Aero-thermal design Multidisciplinary optimization, Small scale power generation systems and energy storage systems. Green Hydrogen Production and Storage.
