Salford women asked to become ‘Big Sisters’

The University is supporting social enterprise, Girls Out Loud, which is coming to Harrop Fold School in Little Hulton to roll-out its Big Sister mentoring programme and asking local women to get involved.

A blind taste test of people attending a Manchester Science Festival event at the University of Salford has found that only 15% could identify cod served up from a fish and chip van.

The University of Salford has signed a partnership agreement with the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service which, it is hoped, will lead to the development of projects such as, ground breaking virtual reality incident training and the provision of health and well being services for firefighters.
