An engineer who missed his graduation 45 years ago finally collected his scroll of honour today (Wednesday 18 July) when he attended the University of Salford’s graduation ceremony. Ronald Duckling, now retired, achieved a 2:1 in chemical engineering but started work for M W Kellogg in Bavaria before he could collect his degree.

Major conference tackles faith and sexuality issues
A major conference aimed at dealing with potential conflicts between sexuality and faith is to be hosted by the University of Salford.
