Lord Keith Bradley portrait, University Chair of Council

Thursday 6 Jun 2024, 18:00-20:00, Science, Engineering & Environment Building, Peel Park Campus and Online

The Rt Hon Lord Keith Bradley, the university's Chair of Council, will discuss his political career, how to get things done in politics in power and out of it, and why leaving the House of Commons opened up a new chapter on a life in public service.

Keith has been a local councillor, a constituency MP, a government minister and now serves as a life peer in the House of Lords. He continues to be an active parliamentarian and holds trustee positions at a number of charities, where he champions the issues that he has been advocating for throughout his career.

Lord Keith Bradley will be joined by Lucy Meacock, ITV broadcaster, journalist and Chancellor of the University of Salford, for a fascinating conversation spanning politics, public service and more.
