UPDATE TO YOUR OFFER OF ADMISSION - Postgraduate Research applicants

The COVID19 pandemic is an ongoing global crisis and we understand that you may have concerns on how the situation affects your application and study plans.  
Please be assured that we are taking appropriate actions to support you and have introduced measures to apply some flexibility in our admissions process.  
Below you can find details of a change to your offer of admission.  
 

1 – Should the continued COVID19 situation affect your ability to continue with your application and begin your studies, your tuition fee deposit will be refunded.  
 
Your offer has been updated to include the following amendment:    

Payment of deposit and tuition fees 
You are required to pay a non-refundable* tuition fee deposit of £4,400 to reserve your place on your chosen programme and release an unconditional offer letter. This deposit is refundable only if your visa is rejected and documentary evidence is provided. You should only pay the required tuition fee deposit when all other conditions of your offer have been met. Please see attached Terms and Conditions for further information about deposit and fee payments. 
*Exceptions due to COVID19 for 20/21 intakes: The University of Salford understand the changing position of COVID19. Should any COVID19 issues affect your ability to continue your application your tuition fee deposit will be refundable.  
 
The Terms and Conditions have been updated with the following amendment: 

Terms and Conditions 
To release your CAS, (Confirmation of Acceptance to Study), you will be required to make a non-refundabledeposit payment, as detailed in your offer letter.  Please note that the deposit rate in your letter applies to the academic year 2019/20 and is subject to change for students applying for deferred entry or commencing programmes in the academic year 2020/21. 
Payment of your study deposit confirms your acceptance of this offer. The deposit is non-refundable* unless your application for a visa is refused by the UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration Service). If UKVI refuse your visa on the grounds of fraudulent documentation or deliberate deception, note that the University will not refund the deposit. Documentary evidence of visa refusal must be provided for a refund to be considered. Please note that an administration fee of 750 GBP will be retained by the University where a visa has been refused. 

*Exceptions due to COVID19 for 20/21 intakes: The University of Salford understand the changing situation of COVID19. Should any issues relating to COVID19 affect your ability to continue your application, your tuition fee deposit will be refundable. 

PLEASE NOTE:  
You will not automatically be sent an updated offer letter until you have fulfilled all your conditions, including paying your tuition fee deposit.  
If you require an updated offer letter for sponsor or bank loan purposes, please send an email to salford-international@salford.ac.uk  including your name, student ID number, course you have applied for and state if you would like to receive an updated offer letter including the new terms and conditions.
