As we watch the COVID-19 pandemic reshape our world, its a reminder that we have more to learn about human and natural science. So if you’re ready to make discoveries and build new scientific knowledge, start with a science degree.
Studying science changes the way you see the world. You become more objective, develop analytical and critical thinking, and get better at finding solutions - skills that are in great demand. More than this, as a scientist you can help develop vaccines and novel approaches that eradicate pandemics in the future.

Start your journey with an open day
Choosing what to study at university can be a big step.
Learn more about studying science by visiting our next Open Day.
You can speak directly to course leaders, ask questions, explore course modules and consider your options.
How much time will I spend in the labs?
Each week, your learning will be split between practical lab sessions where you will learn to use the equipment and carry out your own research projects, and taught lectures which will give you the theoretical knowledge needed in each module.
Will the university help me to find work experience or industry placements?
While students are responsible for securing their own work experience and industry placements, our tutors will guide and support you through the process. Industry experience not only enables you to apply your knowledge in real-world situations but allows you to form those vital connections early on in your career. We have links with a range of leading organisations and, where possible, will assist students in securing placements.
Got another question?
