Computing Degree Courses at Salford
Which facilities will I have access to?
Computing and software engineering students will have access to Salford's impressive Networking and Project Laboratories, and Specialist Computer Laboratories, at both our Peel Park and MediaCityUK campuses which are home to a variety of industry-standard equipment and specialist software.
Will the university help me to find work experience and industry placements?
While students are responsible for securing their own work experience and industry placements, our tutors will guide and support you through the process. Industry experience not only enables you to apply your knowledge in real-world situations but allows you to form those vital connections early on in your career. We have links with a range of leading organisations and, where possible, will assist students in securing placements.
How will I be assessed during my course?
You will be assessed through a combination of examinations, written assignments, practical tests, projects and software development tasks.
