Your business idea could win you £1000
Students have until the 09 November to submit their business idea for a chance to win up to £1000 in this year’s Building Bright Ideas competition.
Now in its third year, the start-up competition run by the university in collaboration with WA:UK Tech Angels also offers cash prizes for the runners up, with 2nd place set to receive £300 and third place £200.
Entrants will get to pitch their ideas and receive feedback from esteemed business leaders at the hugely popular Creative Entrepreneur event, which breaks new ground and celebrates the creative and digital economy. You can apply here.
Last year, Martin Griffiths and Michael Scaife took home the £1000 prize with their app Gigamagig which is a matchmaker app for bands and venues. They said: “The thing I loved the most about Building Bright Ideas was the amount of opportunities which opened up to us as young entrepreneurs.”
