World Suicide Prevention Day
Suicidal feelings and acts are something we generally struggle to speak about openly, but which can affect people very deeply over the course of their lives.
On Monday September 10th, World Suicide Prevention Day, there will be a candlelit vigil at Lowry Plaza, the Quays, Salford, from 6:30 – 7:30pm. Students who have been touched by suicide are very welcomed to attend, perhaps to remember a loved one or colleague or fellow student, or on their own behalf to remember times when they have struggled with suicidal feelings or perhaps attempted suicide. There will be a remembrance roll and you can add a name to the list (or ask any questions about the event) by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are having thoughts of suicide please, talk to someone.
