Mini open day, BIG welcome - expect extra visitors on campus
Next Wednesday (21 November) afternoon we’ll be hosting a Mini Open Day on campus for late applicants who missed out last month. Originally designed to be a small event, we’ve had an enormous number of bookings through so it’s grown into something much bigger, with an extra 1,200 visitors expected on campus.
Largely based on our Peel Park Campus from 2pm to 5pm, guests can take advantage of campus, library and accommodation tours and information stands on student support, finance, accommodation, sporting opportunities and the Students’ Union. Academic colleagues will also be available for drop-ins after 3pm and in some cases will be offering talks. We’ll also be showcasing our courses and state-of-the-art facilities at our MediaCityUK campus too.
Interim Head of Student Recruitment Vicki Hennessy said: “It’s really encouraging to see so many people sign up to our extra open day – we’ve been inundated with bookings in fact. It’s a good sign our marketing and recruitment strategy is working well and I’m sure, as ever, colleagues will go the extra mile to welcome guests onto campus.”
Please note the campus, and in particular the car parks, will be much busier than usual on Wednesday. If catching public transport rather than driving is an option for you, please do so – this would be a big help for the team. Plus if you see anyone looking a little lost on Wednesday afternoon, please point them towards Chapman Square where the recruitment team will be based.
