Hate crime

Fortunately, incidents of discrimination and hate crime are rare at Salford, and we’re determined to keep it that way. The University takes hate crime extremely seriously and is an official Hate Crime Reporting Centre in Salford. We will not tolerate bullying, harassment or victimisation.

If you’ve witnessed discrimination or hate crime, or have been a victim, there are a number of ways you can report it:

·     Call Greater Manchester Police on 999 for emergency help (or 101 for non-emergency help)

·     Call the Manchester City Council’s Hate Crime Report Line on 08000 830 007

·     Report it to True Vision (www.report-it.org.uk) anonymously

·     Report it to a Third Party Reporting Centre, find one in your area here.

If you ever need to report an incident on campus, you can contact our Security Team on 0161 295 3333.
