Alumnus shortlisted for national award
Ali Nowroozi, alumnus and founder of Masumi Headwear, has been shortlisted for an AGCAS Award for Careers Service Engagement for his collaborative work with Careers and Enterprise team, part of Student & Academic Support (DSAS).
Since setting up his headwear fashion business for people with hair loss, Ali has worked closely with the University to host interns. He’s also contributed his time to Business Bootcamp and creative industry panel events to inspire others to explore develop entrepreneurship skills and to become self -employed.
He’s also soon to be an entrepreneur-in-residence in a new business incubation facility currently being set up in the Maxwell Building, where students and graduates will be assisted in developing the skills they need to set-up and grow their own businesses and social enterprises – watch this space for more information!

The winner will be announced at the prestigious TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards on 28 March in London.
