We are delighted to confirm that the University of Salford is now a proud supporter of the #weareinternational campaign.
This campaign is backed by more than 160 universities across the UK and was initially set up by the University of Sheffield and its Students’ Union to celebrate and highlight the importance of our diverse international student and staff communities.
Jo Purves, Pro Vice-Chancellor for International and Regional Partnerships, explained: “By signing up to #weareinternational, we are taking forward our strategic goals of growth and diversity, global impact and the development of our community as global citizens.
“We are engaged in a number of activities to improve our global impact and reputation. This ranges from the recruitment of high quality international students from all over the globe, to our partnerships with leading international institutions to our involvement in student mobility programmes like the Erasmus+, International Exchange and Study Abroad. By facilitating these activities, we allow exposure to the global marketplace for all our colleagues and students and this in turn, increases their employability prospects”.
The University of Salford is extremely proud of both its international communities – both on and off campus and warmly welcomes students and staff from across the globe to be part of our learning environment.
We encourage all staff and students to use the #weareinternational hashtag across digital and social media accounts wherever possible.
