National Student Survey 2018 - Thank You!
A massive thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s National Student Survey (NSS) the most successful to date with a final response rate of 80.4%!
Feedback is so important to us at Salford – it helps us to understand what we do well and where we could improve. Last year’s results from the NSS 2017 on one course (BSc Human Biology and Infectious Diseases) led to the development of a new module, additional specialised teaching staff, more options for final year projects and changes in the course structure!
All students who took part in the survey were entered into a prize draw to say thank you. Congratulations to our NSS 2018 prize winner from the School of Health & Society who has won a £500 Amazon voucher and had this to say about the NSS:
“I was encouraged by my tutors to complete the survey as they highlighted how this can help maintain the quality of the course but also areas for improvement. I was really shocked to win as I wasn’t aware there was a prize to be won! (It shows you should always pay attention!)”
Neil Fowler, Dean of Students added: “Gaining input from eight out of ten of our eligible students on almost every programme is significant as it means the results available to us will be truly representative and provide sufficient detail at programme, subject and school level to offer a clear and detailed insight into student satisfaction across the institution and support work to enhance the student experience here at Salford.”
What happens now?
Results from NSS 2018 will be made publicly available through the Unistats website at the end of August and we’ll be back in touch in the new academic year to update on what’s happening to make sure we use this information to make positive changes to the student experience here at Salford.
Remember, you can keep up to date at any time with what changes are being made to your programme through your Programme Action Log.
