Green Campus Group

We are establishing a Green Campus Group, to share information about the current and potential use of outside spaces at the University, as well as how they will and could be developed and enhanced in the future.

Join us for the first meeting on Wednesday 28 November 1-2:30pm in Peel Building room 320.

The group is open to all staff and students at the University, as well as members of the local community and will meet three times per academic year.

The aims of the Green Campus Group are:

  • To gain an understanding of how outside spaces on campus are used by staff, students, visitors and the local community, including how they are used for learning/educational purposes.
  • To actively involve users in identifying opportunities for improvements and to collaborate to implement them where possible.
  • To share information about how developments of the campus will impact on outside spaces.
  • To contribute to the University’s Landscape Management Plan and associated action plan.

Environment Management Coordinator Neva Mowl said:

‘We would love to hear from everyone across our diverse University community about what they think of the outside spaces we all share across our campuses.

‘We need to gather together a group of like-minded people that want to improve our community, as together we can really maximise our impact. Do come and join us for a hot drink and a chat to help us to shape our Landscape Management Plan.’
