Exams-Trimester 2 Timetable Now Released

Your examination timetable was emailed to your University email address on 15 March.  Please check your emails including junk/spam folder. This timetable is just for written exams; schools will inform you of arrangements for oral or practical examinations.

Your personal examination timetable will outline the dates, times and locations of any written examinations.

If you have a Reasonable Adjustment Plan,  which states you are entitled to an individual/separate room for an examination you will still receive an exam timetable via email but it will show the main venue details. Please liaise directly with your School office for the individual/separate room arrangements.

The Trimester 2 exam period this year falls between Tuesday 7 May – Friday 24 May 2019. As this exam period is approaching we want to remind you of the fantastic support services available.

We have lots available to help you both with the academic side of preparing for exams, such as revision and time managements, and the personal side, such as stress and procrastination.

Academic help for exams

Skills for Learning are here to help you get the best marks possible. While they offer lots of support throughout the year that you should check out, they do offer tailored resources and workshops for exams.

They have loads of information on their website to help you reach your potential in exams, including guides on revision, approaching exams, procrastination and time management – all of which you can find here.

They also have a really useful blog here and you can book a 1-1 appointment with them here. These personal appointments are great for revision techniques and anything other exam related issues you need help with, so why not book one now so you’re fully prepared for the upcoming exam period? 

Personal help for exams

Our Wellbeing team at the University can also give you some personal support before, during and after exams.

Made up of Wellbeing Advisors and Counsellors, this team can provide you with a range of services in the run up to exams. Anxiety and stress are common when preparing for exams and if you do struggle with problems like this, we really encourage you to get in touch with the team. Find out how you can do that here.

Also, there is support available if you have a personal issue that means you are unable to sit an exam, or submit a piece of work. These are called Personal Mitigating Circumstance (PMC) forms and if you need information on what a what a PMC is, how to apply for one, or who you can contact for further advice then you can find it here.

Exam Access Arrangements

Every year a number of students for whom the school arranges additional arrangements turn up and sit their exam in the main venue.

If you do not wish to take up the additional arrangements please email the disability office disability@salford.ac.uk or your school office directly.

If you do not notify us that you do not wish to make use of the adjustment and you subsequently sit your exams in the main venue, the adjustments will be removed from your Reasonable Adjustment Plan.

Timetabling and Examinations will let the senior invigilator know. If you are assessed after Friday 14 December the Disability office will give you an Exam memo to show the senior invigilator
