Earth Hour

Earth Hour is the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment and involves everybody switching off non-essential lights to show their commitment to the planet.

The world’s biggest landmarks – such as the Sydney Opera House, Empire State Building, the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace, and Edinburgh Castle – have previously switch off their lights and you can switch off too! Here at the University, we are asking all staff and students on Monday 1st April, to switch off monitors, lights and PCs for an hour and come for a walk around Peel Park and The Meadows.
