  • What’s it like to study at University?
  • How can you prepare for this new step?

Join us on 24 August at our beautiful campus to find out.

Moving from school or college to University can seem a big step. If you are a mature student, returning to education can seem daunting. But there are lots of people who can help you and lots you can do to help yourself.

Salford Business School welcomes you to come and spend the day with us before you start your Business, Accounting or Law course in September. Join us and some of your new course-mates to take part in some fun activities related to your subject. Get to know your home at SBS as well as some of your tutors and support staff. Learn how you can get ready for the start of your studies and even get ahead so you can hit the ground running.

Lunch will be on us and we look forward to getting to know you at the Get Ready event.

Getting here / where to park

Salford Crescent train station is on campus and there are several bus stops on Salford Crescent. For more info on how to find us, have a look at our travel page.

If you’re joining us by car, parking is available for you in our Irwell Place car park. This is on Salford Crescent, on the right hand side as you head towards Manchester. It is just over the road from the Peel Park campus where you will spend your day. The cost for a day's parking is £4.10.

Check-in location

When you arrive on campus please head to the Maxwell building (number 1 on our campus map). There will be a check-in desk set up where you will be greeted by members of our recruitment team.

Can I bring family and friends?

Of course! We recognise that choosing a university is a big decision, so we'd encourage you to bring a guest. Please let us know how many guests you want to bring so we can arrange lunch for them too.

We are running a session specially for parents and supporters at 1pm to find out about supporting you in your decision and to ask their own questions. Check out the timetable above.

Will there be somewhere to get refreshments?

Yes, you'll also be able to get hot and cold drinks throughout the day. We'll provide lunch for you and our student shop will be open for you to buy anything else you need.

Do you have support for students with a disability?
