We understand that moving from school or college to university can seem a big step. These events will give you a taste of what university life is all about; chat with tutors, explore our campus and learn more about the opportunities offered at Salford Business School.
What will these sessions cover?

- What’s it like to study at University?
- Why does studying with us mean joining a family who want you to succeed?
- How can you prepare for this next step towards a great degree outcome and a successful career?
- What makes Salford Business School and our courses different?
- How is virtual reality embedded into our teaching?
Lunch will be on us and there'll be free refreshments and drinks available throughout the day in our school kitchen.
At the end of the day, you’ll receive a goodie bag, including a Business School hoodie to keep you warm from day one!
Bolton Sixth Form - 12th September 2022
Only open to students at Bolton Sixth Form.
This event aims to provide a glimpse into what it's like to study at Salford Business School and allow students to explore the campus and experience interactive taster sessions. Tutors will be on hand to answer any questions and guide students through the day.
Our existing students will also be there to share their experiences, including how their lives have been positively influenced by our personal and passionate approach to teaching and our amazing extra-curricular facilities and societies which have helped them make friends for the rest of their lives.
Pendleton Sixth Form - 16th of September 2022

Host Social - 9th of December 2022 and 20th of January 2023
This event brought the world of Esports to students visiting HOST Social. Esports is an up-and-coming industry with a wide range and growing number of job opportunities. The aim of this event was to inform young people about these opportunities and about Salford Business School's new Esports HND with BSc top-up - a perfect course to gain the knowledge and experience needed to enter this exciting industry.
Loretto College - 12 of January 2023

Where will the sessions take place?

Based on Salford's green campus, only 5 minutes away from Manchester city centre and linked to MediaCity, Salford Business School is at the heart of the dynamic Greater Manchester business and digital sector.
The sessions will take place in the Maxwell building on the 6th floor. This space houses a number of facilities for Salford Business School students including a reception team and different study and social spaces which are ideal for catching up on reading, events and collaboration whether between students or with industry partners. This space also boasts a kitchen and a dedicated glass classroom which is used for interactive seminars.
Getting here / where to park
Salford Crescent train station is on campus and there are several bus stops on Salford Crescent. For more info on how to find us, have a look at our travel page.
If you’re joining us by car, parking is available for you in our Irwell Place car park, M5 4PE (using Google maps? type in Irwell Place Car Park and the maps application will take you directly there). This is just over the road from the Maxwell building where you will spend your day. Visitors with a blue badge can park for free directly outside the Business School in the parking bays marked disabled, or for free in any of the car parks on-campus.
You will be based throughout the day in the student space on the 6th floor of the Maxwell building. This is the base for Salford Business School so it's a great opportunity to get to know it before term starts
Check-in location
When you arrive on campus please head to the Maxwell building (number 1 on our campus map). There will be a check-in desk set up where you will be greeted by members of our recruitment team.

Will there be somewhere to get refreshments?
Yes, refreshments including hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available throughout the day in the dedicated school kitchen. Lunch (including pizza, bhajis, samosas and soft drinks) will be served from 12:30pm. There is also a range of shops and cafes on-campus for you to buy anything else you need.
Do you have support for students with a disability?
