Do you have any tins, dry foods, toiletries or socks that you no longer need? Well, the Booth Centre, a local day centre working with Manchester's homeless, wants your unwanted goods.
The University has been supporting the Booth Centre for a number of years and we'd love your help in the run up to Christmas. This year SALFOOD are working with the University to support the Booth Centre.
There are lots of collection points around the University. We have drop off points in your SALFOOD outlets in Maxwell Building, Chapman Building and Allerton Building and in your accommodation in John Lester, Bramall and Eddie Colman Courts, and Lowry 1 and Delaney 1. There's also a drop off point at University House next to the askUS desk.
The Booth Centre is in urgent need of:
1. Men’s toiletries
2. Hats, gloves and socks
3. Cakes, biscuits and chocolates
4. Donations – cheques payable to ‘The Booth Centre’, and sent to the Manager, the Booth Centre, Edward Holt House, Pimblett Street, M3 1FU or you can do this via JustGiving.
Please make your donations on Friday 18 December before 12.30pm.
