In May 2015, Eastlands Housing (now One Manchester) completed work on its retrofit to PassivHaus equivalent (EnerPHit) standard of 32 social housing flats in two blocks in Erneley Close, in the Manchester area Gorton. We worked with them to understand the tenants’ views on the programme, relating specifically to the experience of being decanted into temporary accommodation and to the reality of living in a highly energy-efficient flat. As part of the research, monitoring was carried out in the flats to assess their thermal performance.
