BIOGRAPHY
I am a lecturer, Admissions tutor and level 4 Coordinator for Media and Performance. I am also the Admissions Lead for the performance courses at Salford.
My career covers several areas and as an actor I have appeared in film, TV and theatre productions over the last 25 years. In 2004 I secured a full-time show as a drive time presenter on a commercial radio station. This led to forming many contacts within radio and eventually I become a voice over artist, working for ITV, CH4, Real Estate TV and my voice can be heard on many radio stations and online platforms. I have voiced a range of corporate, commercial, e-learning, animation, character, explainer, on hold, drama, imaging, promos and narration scripts. I have directed and produced radio dramas and written two radio drama pantomimes. I am about to go back on air as a breakfast show presenter on an internet-based station. I continue to train and work with voice casting directors in animation and gaming and am a member of the Voice Over Network.
In 2013 after presenting for a number of years for several events, web pages and online music channels, I took up a TV presenting position on Rocks TV, a new live shopping channel broadcast in America. I also presented and produced shows on the UK channel – Gems TV and the outlet channel TGGC.
As my professional work is mainly in the area of presenting and voice acting, I teach on modules which focus on these, although I also teach on Critical and Textual Studies and on the MA post graduate module Digital Collaboration.
I am the module leader for Presenting, Acting for Recorded Media, Programme Production Techniques and Programme Production.
