Octave is a world-class, immersive 3D experience which engages sight, sound and touch and is capable of connecting people from around the world in one single virtual reality.

  • 14 Christie S+3K projectors
  • Single architecture 20 megapixel image generator (shortlisted for Green Gown award)
  • 3D free viewpoint video capture
  • Chromatte and trans-retro reflective materials for studio quality background segmentation
  • Display: eight screen modules that can be moved in different spatial configurations - full octagon; two caves; one cave, one panorama and one wall

Sound

132-channel wave field synthesis acoustic system spread over 264 speakers – provides a fully authentic acoustic experience while the user is immersed in the images.

A results driven, certified Prince2 Agile Practitioner. Leveraging proven analytical ability, and drawing on 26 years of experience at the University of Salford. Excellent communication skills at all levels developed through experience of managing a number of key projects with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Completed a PhD in "Attention in Telepresence"​ while developing the full potential of the octave 14 channel immersive VR platform and the 40 megapixel multi-modal research platform in MediaCityUK.
