Salford to support Tate Liverpool on Emily Speed exhibition

Categories: School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology

We are delighted to announce that the School of Arts, Media and Creative Technology will be supporting Tate Liverpool on North West artist Emily Speed’s forthcoming exhibition in September.

Part of the highly anticipated exhibition will include a performance work which is being filmed in our Digital Performance Lab at MediaCityUK this week (14-16 June). Emily and the Tate crew will take advantage of our cutting-edge facilities, creating a unique new film with performers and sets to be shown at the art gallery and museum in September.

Paul Vivian, Director of Art and Design at the University of Salford, said: “This is a major opportunity for us and has been made possible by the amazing work of Jan Bradley and her team at MCUK and the Art and Design Directorate.”

As part of the project, Film Production students will also be participating to gain valuable experience on a live film shoot.

The exhibition will run 22 September 2021 – 2 January 2022.
