The University of Salford has appointed Jackie Njoroge as its first Director of Strategy.
She joins the University from Manchester Metropolitan University where she held the position of Head of Strategic Planning and Management Information, overseeing corporate, faculty and service area planning, KPI reporting, statutory returns and student number planning.
A qualified management accountant, Jackie had a career in financial planning and management within the steel industry, before moving into higher education in 2003, where she successfully led Northumbria University to an industry award for the implementation of Northumbria’s business intelligence solution.
Jackie, who joins Salford in June, will oversee the design, development, implementation of the University’s long-term strategy and lead the activities of the newly formed Strategy Directorate.
Speaking of her appointment as Director of Strategy at the University of Salford, Jackie Njoroge said: “I am delighted at the opportunity to join the University of Salford at this exciting time and I look forward to supporting the university deliver its ambitious goals.”
University of Salford Chief Operating Officer, Vikki Goddard added: “We are delighted to welcome Jackie as the University’s new Director of Strategy.
