ACCESS / SHARE / ENGAGE / IMPACT
The University is committed to providing unrestricted online access, wherever possible, to the work of our researchers. This work includes publications but also other research outputs like research data and code. We believe that this will help realise the potential of our research to make significant academic, economic, and cultural impact.
The Library is here to support researchers and help them reap the benefits of making their research openly available, while also facilitating compliance with funders’ open access policies. We look after the University’s two institutional repositories and are available to provide advice on anything open access related.
Join Salford's Open Research Network
We recently launched the University’s Open Research Network, an informal network of staff and PGR students who are interested in open research and developments in scholarly communications. In the short term, this will take the form of a quarterly e-newsletter curated by the Library's research team. Eventually we’d like the Network to inform and contribute to our open research advocacy activities and provide a forum for discussing all kinds of open research related topics.
If you think that sounds interesting, please sign up using this form. We promise we won’t send you too many emails. If you’re on Twitter, you can keep up with open research at the University of Salford by following @OpenResSalford.
