The Library

Did you know?

We've made it easier to find where the books you want are shelved. When you've found a book in the catalogue, press 'get it', and you'll see a red 'locate' button. Press this and it will display a map clearly showing the floor and the bay of books where the book is shelved.
We've increased the number of books you can borrow by 10. If you're a first or second year undergraduate, you can take out 25 items. If you're a final year undergraduate, postgraduate or member of staff, you can take out 35 items. When you've borrowed your books, we'll renew them each week for you, meaning you don't have to remember. It means that requested books should be available to you in a week – much quicker than before.
You can order books and journal articles not held by the Library by clicking on the 'Need something…?' option on our home page. We'll either buy or borrow them for you free of charge.
If you have a query about the Library, you can go to Ask the Library on our webpages and click on Online help and FAQs. Either search our FAQs for the information you want, or submit a question.
We've installed new printers, copiers and scanners (Multi-Functional Devices, or MFDs) in the Library and buildings across the campus. We've also improved the service for printing from mobile devices.
