When you join Salford we want you to feel supported. To start your Salford journey we have developed the Salford Induction. This complements the induction you receive from your school or professional services area and is outlined in the Code of Practice for Induction of New Staff.
Below outlines all mandatory induction activities, who they are for, and provides booking/access information.

Please access and complete the above via the Induction Toolkit on Blackboard within your first month.
As well as attending the Salford Manager programme for new managers there are two additional events which we recommend all managers also undertake. They are:
(1) Recruitment & Selection training – Facilitated by a member of the Resourcing & Talent Team
(2) PDR Reviewer training – Facilitated by a Learning & Development Specialist
To book, please click on the event in the Staff Development page.
Please note: Participation in the induction programme counts as part of your probationary requirements, therefore you should attend/complete the required elements of the induction programme within your probationary period – this is detailed on your Contract of Employment and offer letter. It is your responsibility to register your attendance at each session (even if you arrive late) so that it can be recorded. Please see details of the probationary requirements on the HR web site.
