Studying at the University of Salford is an exciting experience, and our industry-focused courses prepare you for success. You will be taught by staff who are experts in their field, and you will put your learning into practice in real-world settings, such as through placements, live projects, field trips, or hearing from guest speakers.
Through our partnership with the Luxon Academy of Fine Arts (LAFA), students have studied our degrees in China. Some of these students have completed their final year of their degree course here at Salford, enhancing their learning and providing an international experience.

Education consultants
Entry requirements
International Foundation Year
Applicants with a graduation certificate from a specialised college or school (zhongzhuan) with a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for the International Foundation Year. Applicants who have completed the huikao (senior secondary school) with a final grade of 60% or above will also be considered.
Undergraduate
Applicants who have completed three full years of high school and hold a senior secondary school graduation certificate with an overall minimum grade of 60% will be considered for undergraduate study.
Advanced undergraduate entry
Applicants who hold a dazhaun qualification with a score of 60% or above will be considered for advanced entry on relevant undergraduate programmes if appropriate modules have been studied.
Applicants who have achieved ACC/BCC/BC in graded units on their SQA-AD programme will be considered for final year entry on selected undergraduate business programmes.
Postgraduate
Applicants who have completed a bachelor’s degree from a reputable Chinese university with a GPA of 2.4/4.0 or a final grade of 60% or above will be considered for postgraduate study.
Applicants who have completed a higher education self study graduation certificate (zi’kao) with a final grade of 70% or above, and at least two years of relevant work experience, will be considered for postgraduate study.
